About This Game

Game Overview
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed and published by Konami. It was part of that wave of fighting games that followed Street Fighter II's success, but it had its own style, using the Turtles license to stand out among other SNES brawlers. You pick one of the Turtles or other characters from the franchise, like Casey Jones or even a Foot Soldier, and face off against opponents one-on-one. The goal is to win matches and progress through the tournament mode, eventually confronting Shredder. The game uses special moves executed with quarter-circle and charge motions, super moves that build up as you fight, and some stages have interactive elements or hazards. It's not the fastest fighter, and the difficulty can spike, but landing a well-timed super or winning a close round feels satisfying and keeps you coming back.
