About This Game

Game Overview
Metroid Fusion came out on the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Nintendo R&D1. It was one of those games that really showed what the handheld could do, with detailed sprites and a tight, atmospheric design that fit right into the system's library of action adventures. You play as Samus Aran, exploring a derelict research station overrun by a parasitic life form called the X. Your main goal is to contain the outbreak and survive the relentless pursuit of the SA-X, a hostile duplicate of your own powered-up self. The gameplay hinges on screen-by-screen exploration, acquiring new abilities like the Ice Missile or Speed Booster to access previously blocked areas, and absorbing X parasites to restore health and missiles. The pacing is tense and deliberate, with moments of quiet investigation punctuated by sudden, dangerous encounters. It feels like a constant, calculated risk, moving through environments that are both familiar and deeply wrong.
