Ronaldinho Soccer 97 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1997, developed by Tec Toy. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when many players were already looking toward newer consoles, but it offered a straightforward take on the sport without the complexity of later titles.

You control a team of players, passing and shooting your way toward the opponent's goal. The main objective is simple: score more goals than the other side. Signature mechanics include a surprisingly effective dribble that lets you weave through defenders with little resistance, and goalkeepers who behave unpredictably, sometimes making incredible saves and other times letting soft shots roll past.
