Bomberman 64 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1997, developed by Hudson Soft. It was part of that early wave of 3D platformers and puzzle games that really tried to stretch what the system could do, moving the series into a more exploratory space instead of sticking to the classic grid based arenas.You control Bomberman through a series of themed worlds, each made up of interconnected levels. Your main goal is to defeat bosses and collect Gold Cards to progress. The gameplay mixes bomb based puzzles with light platforming; you blast through obstacles, uncover hidden paths, and sometimes use bombs to launch yourself across gaps. The pacing is deliberate, with some tricky environmental puzzles that require careful timing. It feels satisfying to finally clear a stage after figuring out exactly where to place your explosions.
