About This Game

Game Overview
Fighting Force 64 came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1999, developed by Core Design. It was part of that wave of 3D beat 'em ups trying to find a place on home consoles, a time when developers were still figuring out how to translate arcade-style action into a living room experience. You pick one of four characters, like the brawler Hawk or the swift Mace, and fight through waves of enemies across city streets and industrial zones. Your main goal is to clear each screen of thugs before moving to the next, using fists, found weapons, and environmental objects like barrels or crates. The combat relies on simple combos and throws, and you can pick up health items or temporary power-ups dropped by defeated foes. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly when you get surrounded. It feels like a messy, energetic scramble from start to finish.
